Today is the birthday of The Glory of God.
Early one morning in 1817, in dusty city of Tehran, the Child long awaited by the world was finally born.
Throughout His 29-year ministry He was imprisoned, tortured, poisoned, exiled and suffered greatly for the world.
He wrote to kings, world leaders, religious leaders (including Pope Pius IX) announcing His arrival but to no avail. Instead, the poor, the lowly and the meek of the world responded to His call and were brought to life by His words.

Like Jesus, Baha'u'llah spent 2 solitary years in the mountains for prayer and meditation prior to the beginning of His mission. These are those mountains of Kurdistan.
As with His death on the cross centuries ago, 164 after His ascension, the power of His revitalizing message has yet to be fully realized.
And as it were for the early Christians in the first 300 years after Christ’s crucifixion, Baha’is remain a minority in the world and in some places continue to be persecuted.
But the time shall come where His name will be blazoned across the hearts of all mankind.
Soon will His life-giving message once again renew the world and turn this rubbish heap into a paradise.
Humanity’s glorious coming of age is just around the corner!
Happy Birthday Baha’u’llah!

Mount Carmel as it stands today, the home of the Baha'i World Center. "It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God." - ISAIAH 35:2
