Last month I found myself receiving marital advice from a 23 year old. And it was good advice too!
Varqa married at a young 20 years of age! To top that off, his wife was 23! (shock-horror in some circles)

After meeting A.P. at a youth conference, Varqa went off to the US to study. After a lonesome semester of distracting thoughts and bad grades, he came to the conclusion that he NEEDED to get married before he could move on with anything (naturally!).
So that’s exactly what this crazy kid did.
Of course there were many who tried to convince him otherwise. One friend of his was particularly adamant about saving him from impending marital doom. But 3 years on Varqa is still, much to the surprise of this dear friend, happily married.
Back from his studies and looking for work, today Varqa spends his mornings brewing Chinese herbal remedies for his wife and his afternoons helping his mother-in-law clean her house. :o (jaw dropping…I know!!)
I truly admire Varqa’s maturity. To make such a clear headed, resolute decision at that age is truly exemplary. And the way he conducts himself and talks about marriage…man, this guy is way ahead of me and most people I know…
